The roles of women were once and perhaps still are confined to just the household chores and such lifestyle. Each time a woman does something other than keeping herself in the four-walled house, people start talking about it. In general, people are more critical towards such women because they feel they don’t have it in them to ‘talk about sports’.
However, sports are not gender-confined. Everyone can watch as per their liking and if they hold the knowledge, they can analyze the game as well; doesn’t necessarily mean they have to play it first.
Having this said, we now see female sports analysts and anchors as well in Pakistan. For starters, Zainab Abbas is the name that comes to our head.

Zainab Abbas is a face seen on various cricket events held in both, inside and outside of Pakistan. She maintains a vigorous presence on social media as well, sharing critical analysis regarding various cricket matches, especially of Pakistan.
However, Zainab isn’t the only woman in Pakistan who holds critical interests in sports.
Sports Anchor Sawera Pasha is Another Name which Hasn’t Received the Much Limelight She Deserves

With her affiliation with GEO News, Sawera Pasha, a mother of 2, analyzes the performances of the Men in Green on regular basis.
Earlier Today, Sawera Pasha and Zainab Abbas were Sharing their Views on the Batting Lineup Sarfraz Ahmed Should Have
Sarfaraz should take a lesson from today's game and he should always bat up the order when the situation demands. #NZvPak #Cricket #t20

The Constructive Discussion the Two Were Having was More than Just Opinions
Need someone at 4 who rotates the strike & hits out in the middle overs to create a base for pinch hitters to hit out, nobody in the team has the ability to do that as good as he does hence that should be his permanent batting https://t.co/3od7fB3OoY for countering spin in the mid

Confiding women to just certain roles limit the opportunities they can avail because of their knowledge and talent. Women like Sawera Pasha and Zainab Abbas are really contributing well towards setting examples of how sports are not based on genders.
Thank you for creating such examples for more women to follow in the near future. More power to you!
