Women are have been a victim of much greater violence. Some endure there whole life and stay silent, some are tortured to death. This is not new to people when we say a girl got burnt when someone threw acid on her. That too for minor reason’s. It’s not that Pakistan or India have faced such cases of burning girls alive or throwing acid but the US has a much greater ration!
This girl named Asma Yaqub who was 25-years old was burnt to death because she refused a guy for marriage and later converting to Islam. Some on twitter wrote:
“Asma Yaqub, 25-year-old Christian girl burnt to death for refusing a marriage offer & convert afterward. Rizwan Gujar hurled gasoline at her & set her on fire. Asma was brought to Lahore from Sialkot with third-degree burns, she succumbed to injuries last night in Mayo hospital.”
She died of third-degree burns
She also informed that:
“Police arrested Rizwan Gujar on charges of burning a Christian woman to death for refusing his marriage offer. He confessed to the attack and has been sent to jail, pending trial.”
The culprit may be arrested but is this the end?! Will people ever have the fear to harm another just for their ego’s sake? We hope justice is served and no girl like Asma should ever face death at the hands for such people.
