The actress clarified the news and shared that the media and blogs are confusing her with the killing of Sumbul Khan, a singer who was killed with Mardan. She further shared that she is upset with the way the media handled the news, without confirming it with Sumbul Iqbal Khan and spreading false news.

In a 2-minute long Insta live video, she left a message for all the media outlets and the fans to confirm the news before commenting and spreading it.
