Animator and illustrators can amaze the world by their wonderful work of art. It’s amazing to know how a person can be so creative simply with their power of imagination. Anu Chauhan, Indian-Canadian, is a trained graphic designer and animator based in Vancouver, BC. Anu runs a pop fashion and pop culture illustration blog and enjoys drawing bold, sassy girls that reflect her stories, humor, and culture. Anu says that there is nothing that brings her greater joy than drawing all day long.
Anu started drawing from a very young age. Growing up in a Punjabi household, she’s had a diverse group of friends and lucky enough to have her creativity influence a lot of different cultures. She has been an anime and video game fanatic who loved listening to rock music and educated her about the evolution of western fashion. For Anu, her heritage and culture have been her biggest influence.
She has been inspired by many musical artists too and says that the lyrics and beats of the songs often directly influence her artworks. Apart from this, Anu’s family and friends have been her daily inspiration.

We’re amazed!! With her drawings, Anu wants to celebrate her culture and want to inspire South-Asian artists to pursue a career in arts. She wants to help engage in discussions being a 21st century South -Asian woman and how it feels, in a humorous and fun way.
