A Month After Lockdown In Kashmir, Malala Yousafzai Finally Speaks Up For Kashmiris Against Indian Inhumanity!

The most sensitive issue in today’s time is the Kashmir situation that escalated after India’s illegal occupation of the valley. Violating human rights in the region and designating massive Indian troops on the unarmed locals has just made the world aware of the vile intentions of the Modi Sarkar. Leaving no pinch of humanity, the Indian government enforced a severe curfew in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) longing for over a month now making Kashmiris feel separated from the rest of the world.

Malala Yousufzai recently shared her stance over the Kashmir issue after personally talking with the stranded people of the valley!

Among the international platforms and the United Nations (UN) paying no heed on the increasing inhumane activities in the Kashmir region, several influential personalities of the world were also being criticized for not speaking up against Indian barbarism, till now. Earlier this year, Malala Yousufzai’s soft stance over the Kashmir issue called her out as a hypocrite but recently, her meaningful tweets regarding the degradation of humanity by Indian forces in Kashmir calmed many around the world.

Started from having talks with the lawyers, journalists and the left out students of Kashmir, Malala created a thread using the hashtag #LetKashmirSpeak on her official Twitter!

As Kashmir is in massive turmoil after the illicitly enforced curfew and total communications blackout, the ‘peace ambassador’ to the UN, struggled hard to talk with the school going girls of Kashmir!

“The best way to describe the situation in Kashmir right now is absolute silence. We hav no way of finding out what’s happening to us. All we could hear is the steps of troops outside our windows. It was really scary.” A heart-wrenching stance shared by a Kashmiri girl with Malala.

Another girl told Malala, “I feel purposeless and depressed because I can’t go to school. I missed my exams on August 12 and I feel my future is insecure now. I want to be a writer and grow to be an independent, successful Kashmiri woman. But it seems to be getting more difficult as this continues.”

Expressing her gratitude for the people actually talking on the Kashmir situation, this girl from the valley stated, “People speaking out for us adds to our hope. I am longing for the day when Kashmir will be free of the misery we have been going through for decades.”

Showing concern over the illegal arrests and jailing of innocent Kashmiri men, women, and children, Malala added that the people there have not been able to attend schools because of the strict curfew imposed by the Indian government.

Urging the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) to work for the peace in the region, the ‘Nobel Peace Price’ achiever, wants the UN to listen to the silenced voices of the Kashmiri people and help children regain access to attend schools.

As the world was in fits against Malala Yousufzai not speaking up, Pakistani actress Mathira recently went after Malala’s peace for speaking on iPhone 11 but not on Kashmir and Pakistanis lauded her well. The recent series of tweets made by Malala regarding Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) sure satisfied many to an extreme extent but made naively ignorant Indians angry.
