Concerns are being raised over the ban on “PadMan’ and the number of people opposing the ban, is too damn high but at the same time, a huge number of people, who are quite neither opposing it nor praising it must be considered too. Yes! People are actually confused over which way to go. Know what? These confused people are actually wiser than those who are issuing statements and backing their views. Before opposing the ban, did you even review your stance in the light of our religion and in accordance with the society we live in?  Absolutely not, otherwise you wouldn’t be wildly criticizing the ban.

Before I start sharing my views, I have to make one thing clear which is widely misunderstood while I’m expressing my point of view. I appreciate the initiative following the positive intentions of the producer, irrespective of my views on the movie. I would directly like to say that my concern is airing of the movie in our country, not the movie itself.
We have to consider the point of airing the film in a secular state is a different thing while the same thing would be disastrous for a society where “dignity exists due to the conservative perspective”. Yes, reread the sentence with inverted commas and ponder over.

First of all, don’t forget that after the day it’s released, a latest Bollywood movie is unarguably one of the most discussed topics not just at several workplaces but in educational institutions too, irrespective of grades, from primary to secondary. Imagine a kid comes out and claims himself to be a superhero “The PadMan” looking at the other children pretending to be Spiderman, Superman or Batman etc. What would be your reaction?
What if your children ask you to explain them the meaning of this word in order to feed their curiosity! How long are you going to delay or fool them? Eventually, they’ll draw conclusions never intended by anyone.

Neither do I like it nor I’m comfortable while discussing such private issues of women openly like this, since I myself am not the one. Yes absolutely, if you’re concerned with that, it’s good you’re praiseworthy but that doesn’t require you to record protest by striving like you yourself have been through this thing! Specifically talking about those men who showed up opposing the ban with hilarious comments before even considering any possible reaction from women out there. Would it be a normal thing for women at workplaces to see their colleagues muttering over the issue?

Most importantly, as far as the perception or propagation of this topic as a ‘taboo topic’ is concerned, so let me clarify that the reason behind the unchanging views over it is the sanctity of women. Yes, it’s respect, let’s suppose you can convince everyone out there but do you think it would be a mainstream topic for all of the women?  Hell no.

I do not oppose the film but the possible consequences of its mainstream airing frightens me. My take on it can be seen in the screenshot down here, I have commented on my friend’s status who have opposed the ban for all the positive reasons, but I believe a big part has been neglected here when it comes to the values taught us by our religion. Just because it’s a normal thing doesn’t mean it has to be publicized.
