Sameea lives in Jeddah where her travels to holy and ancient sites developed a passion for divinity and creator’s beautiful creations. She’s is a Calligrapher who believes in the veracity of stunning formations in the world; depicting the very scenery, flora, and fauna of nature’s gorgeous landscape.
This increased her appetite to express this exquisite phenomenon and facts narrated in holy book increased much to fold. Sameea learned from the holy book that the Creator loves beauty as He is beautiful. Therefore, she resorted to arts and calligraphy to express the relationship of a human with Almighty through paintbrush, colors and the art sheet.
Today this young self-taught Islamic calligraphist related her first experience of live work which helped her overcome a fear of public scrutiny and build confidence at a recently held live exhibition of art through her passion, i.e. calligraphic and Islamic Art. She made an excellent Islamic design with acrylic multi colors on a drawing chart and thanked Allah SWT by writing ‘Alhamdulillah’ الحَمْدُ لِلّهِ at a three-day exhibition and competition by Lamsaat at Al Andalus Mall in Jeddah.
She says, ‘what a great event, well organized and delivered. It provided me with an excellent learning opportunity. I was overwhelmed by the amount of work to be completed but it was well worth it. Thanks to the organizers and volunteers who made the event a real success which was visited by more than 2000 people’.
‘I take the words of Allah SWT from Quran narrated as Dua or Commandment and looking deep into its beauty and reality based on contemporary Islamic designs try to depict those stunning narrations of the Almighty. I can never do justice with the exquisiteness and perfection of the words but I try and this is my way of thanking and praising the creator’, says Sameea Muhammad from Jeddah.
