Brand giveaways across blogs and social media platforms are generally pretty common. People try their luck by following a certain set of requirements and a specific number of winners walk away with the prize. Some time ago, a lifestyle blog, The Desi Wonder Woman, ran a similar giveaway for winning professional photo shoots by people in different cities in Pakistan.

What came as a special add-on to the prize was giving the winner not one, but two photo shoots – one for themselves with the person of their choice and the second for a deserving, not so privileged person they knew of, who could not get professional photographs for themselves with their loved ones. Locura Photography by Faizaan Ahmad in Karachi and Palwasha Minhas Photography from Karachi, are the blog’s two incredible partners who came on board and chose to give away their time and talent for these shoots.

Both winners chose people they value and trust but who were not in a position to support such a professional photo shoot with their loved ones on their own.

Zainab, from Lahore, chose Asghari Khala for the shoot, someone whose been employed in their home since the better part of a decade and has now become a part of their extended family. Palwasha from Palwasha Minhas Photography shot beautiful images of Asghari Khala with her two sons, Arif, and Mubarak and their very heartwarming smiles.

Faria from Karachi gifted the shoot to their family driver who has been a part of their family since ten years! Faizaan from Locura took the sweetest shots of him with his three sons; Usman, Adnan, and Faizan; their smiles and spirit are just so heartwarming.

We love how the giveaway had a meaningful concept behind it. We need to appreciate the underprivileged people around us, who have stayed miles away from their families just to support them. They have hearts of gold and we need to need to really appreciate them.
