Being the spouse of a sportsman is as similar as being the spouse of a soldier. As a soldier works for his/her country so is a sportsman, they carry forward the name of their country. Both of them stay away from home, their parents and kids don’t see them for days and sometimes even months.
There are many such brave and patient spouse in Pakistani sports. Like recently, when Sania Mirza who herself is in sports, gave birth to a beautiful baby and had to spend a few days alone without Shoaib Malik. As he has to leave to the cricket match abroad, he didn’t wan to leave his little boy and wife who needed his time; but Sania asked Shoaib to go. It was difficult for either of them, Shoaib even sent a video message in an interview, where he said that he’s terribly was missing both of them.
Shaniera Akram is also one patient woman, she’s always been very sober and sane. Whenever she was called out for being a “foreigner” though she herself never feels any awkward when she moved into Pakistan with Waseem Akram.

Shaniera is more Pakistani than many people! She loves the culture and its blend, recently when Waseen and she were going to attend the Diwali party at Deepak Parwani’s house this is what she wrote:
“One of the really fun things about living in Pakistan is that our clothing is so festive, feminine and glamorously beautiful that every time you dress up to go out you feel like a princess, it’s almost as fun as being a kid again and playing in the costume cupboard!”
