So the Coke Studio has ended and well, as per the Pakistanis and the music fanatics, it did not quite end on a note everyone was expecting. While this season was a mixture of opinions and verdicts; the good and the bad, the last featuring song was not really something that could have ended the season on a high note.
Featuring Ahad Raza Mir and Momina Mustehsan, The Newest Version of Ko Ko Korina Didn’t Quite Attract the Masses
#KoKoKorina marks Ahad Raza Mir's debut as he comes together with Momina Mustehsan to re-create this foot tapping dance number from the 60's! #CokeStudio11 pic.twitter.com/SKvs86yAGj

The Entire Nation Was One Side And That Was Definitely Not in Favor of the Song

And It Was Getting Out of Hands
Dear Ahad Raza Mir and Momina,
here is a little tip: DO NOT MESS WITH THE CLASSICS EVER AGAIN. PLEASE STICK TO RANDOM MUSIC THAT YOU MAKE ON YOUR GUITARS.-Pakistan.

Well, safe to say the song failed to do any sort of magic on the locals. If you think it ended here, wait till you see what the Human Rights minister of Pakistan had to say.
Yep, you read it right. While the hate this song was receiving wasn’t enough, Shireen Mazari jumped in and gave her two cents as well.
Shireen Mazari Heard Coke Studio’s Ko Ko Korina and Just Like Everyone Else, She Wasn’t Pleased
Horrendous! Destroyed a great classic – why oh why did Coke Studio allow such a massacre of this classic song?

And Always, Pakistanis Found a Reason to Attack Shireen Mazari for Tweeting Something Aside from her Job to the Nation
Just 2 to 3 days ago, Shireen Mazari played an active role in rescuing and saving the 11-year-old maid named Kinza from domestic abuse from a military couple. She took speedy action and is still on it to resolve the matter. Despite her efforts, Pakistanis were too quick to complain about her tweeting about a song she did not like.
Is that your priority? https://t.co/lnDsdkwgPW

Senseless…
Haan ho gya! Ab apni job pe dehaan do! https://t.co/NNeDWk6Be2

I Mean Do People Not Go Through her Profile? And See Just ONE Tweet?
Human rights minister tweeting about how coke studio destroyed ko ko korina instead of talking about women empowerment, child labour, child abuse, kids not attending school, enforced disappearances, extra judicial murders and freedom of speech. We got out priorities right dude

Yes, ma’am human rights minister, do something about this atrocity committed against human rights. Nobody deserves this Ko Ko Korina version. https://t.co/LqCcOQn6tX

But There Were Sane People Ready To Understand There Was No Harm in Shireen Mazari Tweeting About This

The Human Rights minister has spoken! https://t.co/g2b3IFpa97

HAHA
This song was a violation of our right to good music. I am glad the Human Rights Minister took notice. https://t.co/hmGNicead9

The previous governments never reacted to the social media awareness and free speech the day Shireen Mazari does so often. But people need reasons to complain and that’s what they always will do.
