Did Actress Sonam Kapoor Call Sushant Singh Rajput’s Death His Karma?

Ever since actor Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide many star kids of Bollywood are facing the heat from netizens on the topic of nepotism. They believe it is a major reason behind Sushant’s passing away. Actor Sonam Kapoor is also in the list of star kids who are facing severe criticisms.

Already Sonam was in the line of fire and her recent Father’s Day tweet has now grabbed attention. Twitterati is schooling the actor for her wrong choice of words. In the tweet, Sonam accepts being a star kid and says it’s her karma that she belongs to a privileged family.

However, her karma statement didn’t go down well with the people. Now Sonam is being called out for disrespecting poor people and those who don’t have a strong family background.

Many netizens tell Sonam how even a poor man works hard for his children. Also, many asked her if being born in a poor family is due to bad karma according to her.

A Twitter user wrote, “So you may be surprised to know the poor man too works very hard for his child. Why is his child deprived of privileges? Surely, you don’t mean one is ‘born poor because of ‘bad karma’? and don’t you think privileges should be earned by your own karma than the parents?”

In another tweet, Sonam said karma was the biggest leveler and she was where she was because of karma. So basically what she meant was, Sushant’s death was his karma? Being ill-treated by the film fraternity because he doesn’t belong to a privileged family was his fault?

Sonam believes that being ‘proud’ daughter of a Bollywood star is a privilege over talent like Sushant. However, Sonam has switched off his comment section after constant cyberbullying and threats.

Sonakshi Sinha also deactivated her account after criticisms

Apart from Sonam, actor Sonakshi Sinha  – another star kid in Bollywood – has also deactivated her Twitter account after constant bullying. She said she wanted to stay away from all the negativity that why for her mental health she was deactivating her account.

After Sushant’s untimely death, several Bollywood celebrities including Sonakshi, filmmaker Shashank Khaitan, and Aayush Sharma have quit Twitter, claiming that the platform became too negative for them.

Social media spiraled around with different allegations pointing towards the Bollywood industry for bullying Sushant Singh Rajput on and off.

Moreover, ace director Karan Johar had been quite offensive and harsh with Sushant on a continuous basis. Then again, he is also a flag-barrier for nepotism within the industry. He along with actor Alia Bhatt and many other star kids has lost their fandom after Sushant’s untimely death. Karan has also unfollowed all the celebs from his Twitter account.
