Rape cases in Pakistan have always been high and given how there’s lack of accountability, justice hardly ever gets served in our country.

Another alleged rape case has emerged and it violates renowned stage dancer and actress Sitara Baig.

Sitara Baig was allegedly raped in Lahore at a five-star hotel by a group of seven men, as she claims in her application. In her interview with a local news publication, Sitara shared how she was called to a hotel to collect her due payment for the performances she made in Dubai and Canada. “If was given the full amount when I went there. They offered me a glass of juice and the things I know, I wake up 10 hours later,” claims Sitara.

“I woke up undressed, with no clothes or jewelry, and the money had also disappeared. I was in shock,”

Sitara further shared that the rapist claim to have made her video and threatened to share it all over the social media if she contacted the police for help. “I lodged an FIR with Nawab Town police despite knowing how it would put my presence at risk. However, the police pressurized me to leave this and settle the matter privately with the involved party. I will end my life if justice won’t be served,” said Sitara.

Sitara further shared that the police is hesitant to register the case because rapists are influential and they approached them before her.
