Imagine, it’s 1 am, you are a girl, you are half-asleep, you are naked cause you are trying to sleep in hot weather all alone in a rental apartment and a group of men try to barge in… Did this just freak you out? Yes? Thought so!

We’re about to tell you a real story. And if you are mistaken by the fact that this is a story, well it is not. This is what actually happened with a girl who’s a student of BNU. She shared her incident on Facebook,

This is what she shared,

Scared out of my wits right now.
I study in BNU and like most students from out of city,I live in a bloody rental apartment. The only cooling at my new apartment which I moved into a while back is a fan’ it tends to get pretty hot in the summers, so I choose to sleep naked. Today at around 1 am 7 men showed up at my window after apparently hopping over from the walls, since my room is on the ground floor. One of them started flashing his torch through the window, making sense of what was happening i grabbed my pillow to cover myself and curled up into a corner, no living human should ever have to endure this.
At the top of my lungs, I begged them to give me two minutes so that I could put something, and to which I was met with replies ranging from
“darwaza kholo mein tumhari jaan ley loun ga”

“Khol rahi ho kay nai khol rahi ho, hamein darwaza torna paray ga”
They kept banging at my window, while another one tried to come from around the back and from the exhaust fan area.

While all of this was happening, I was on the phone with my friend who could hear me scream at the top of my lungs begging them to stop. He was in his car driving towards from about 2 minutes away then.

They kept staring at my naked self as they flashed their torches, and tried to break the window lock to get in. I kept screaming, “Aap ko Quran ki kasam do minute ruk jayein mein nay bulaya hay kisi ko baat karnay kay liye”

They moved back from the window to the maingate, and I had sometime to put on clothes, their constant badgering at my main door had also left it stuck I couldn’t open it. They had to break the door entirely to get it to open, at this time my friend is also at the main door with these men with weapons, and Punjab police uniforms. After they barged in they inquired me about my student card which I did not have at the time, and then after putting me through a scream session asked me to fetch a paper pen from upstairs. Then they said “Nahin chahiye”

They ransacked my house at this point, trying to find something, anything that I could be framed with, they got nothing. Then one of the men In uniform ordered us to pack our stuff and come to the police station with them. To which my friend and I said that we’d go in our own car. We asked them why they were here, and said they’d received a complaint from the male students with their apartment next door. Male students of UMT and UOL.
While my friend took them out to talk to the guys, one of the men who was in civvies caught me alone and said “Jab mein nay kaha tha izzat say darwaza khol do, to kyun nai khola?
“Bhai jaan, mein kyun khulti?

To which he replied “aur kuch bhi baat nahi, bas tumhara dimagh kharab hay” he left the place.
The person who seemed to be in charge then came inside to talk, realizing the mistake he made, he cited that complaints from the neighbours had prompted them to do so. I inquired what the complaint was, to which there was no reply. He then asked me to call my mother, and then put her through the mental torture of a lifetime.

The person in charge, left his phone number with me, after putting his hand over my head, he said “ hum to check karnay aye thay, agar koi masla ho to call kar lein ga” They left.
Is this what I am worth? A woman trying to work, live, and enjoy the freedom men take for granted, and bloody fucking hell, sleep naked. Fuck you bhenchod. I am so shook, and traumatized, I don’t know if I’d ever be able to live alone again. I wish I had a penis, then these men, wouldn’t peek into my window to see what I wear or don’t wear when I sleep. Still shook, I can’t go back to reading what I just wrote. What am I to do?

This gave us goosebumps. It is so traumatizing to imagine what she might’ve gone through all alone. There are thousands of girls and even boys who travel from different cities to receive education from prestigious universities, and is this what they deserve? NO. Nobody does, this is just ugly and sad.

We are speechless.

This society needs cleansing from such perverts who are making life hell for others; especially girls. These incidents and stories enforce girls to remain scared and stay indoors. It is high time that students are provided with security and protection from universities.

We would like to know what do you guys think about this incident, in the comments below.
