So this happened at Coke Fest Islamabad 2019 on 26th January at about 6:30 pm, at Arif Chatkhara’s stall there was a lot of rush due to the famous tawa chicken. Some guys had made their way into the ladies line forcibly and there was haphazard all around. Some of these guys who had no females accompanying them despite the rules clearly stating that men without family won’t be allowed were deliberately pushing and standing too close to the women.
I clearly heard many of the girls and women asking them to step back, stand back and give them some space and there was clearly enough space to stand away but seeing from their actions some of these men were deliberately standing too close for comfort to the ladies. Right then, this one guy tried to press up against a girl and she panicked and screamed at him to move back, then he did it again to another girl, she started crying literally.
I asked her what’s wrong and she whispered in my ear that the man behind was rubbing himself against her. I looked back in the shock. I mean the sheer audacity of this low life!! The second girl was 14-15 years old kid, clad in shalwar kameez, a long coat and a hijab draped around her head. The most I could do was to ask her to get in line in front of me and I did, I took her order and escorted her safely from the stall.
What pained and saddened me was that, Khana Zeher Ho Gaya Bachi Ka. She didn’t even eat that tawa chicken and went away in sobs. How hurtful can it get? And both of them were in modest attire and had coats and shawls and hijabs. Even If they didn’t still nobody had the right to misbehave with them. Absolutely no one! So I and my friend turned around and saw this degenerate man pushing and pressing himself against women continually.
The ladies would get shocked, turn around and with fear in their eyes either go away from the line or ask them to stand back. If somebody says that the victims should have kicked or slapped him then take it from a woman and a doctor herself that everyone has a different response to harassment and assault. Some victims get scared and mute, some get shocked, some get angry and some get overcome by extreme fear. The victim should never be blamed. This kind of predatory attitude comes from mentally sick and degenerate people. Words cannot describe the unethical and the immoral act he was trying to do.
I and my friend looked at him in utter disbelief. Upon telling him to back off, he had the audacity to say,’Pechey He Khara Hoon’. And then started pushing again. I tried to look for security personnel but there was no one around. After taking our order, I and my friends observed that this guy was doing this at almost every second stall, he would go into the crowd, push the ladies and then come out without even buying anything.
At first, I helplessly tried to look for a security guard or any staff but then not being able to take it anymore I went ahead to nag him, but he quickly got lost in the crowd. I should have thrashed him before but I was so shocked and taken aback at the literal act he was doing in a public place. Here he is in this picture without any shame and without an ounce of respect or sharam.
Make his photo so viral so that it can reach his family so that his mother can see it, his sister can see it and his daughter and wife can see it. This is the face of a degenerate being who can get to any level of low to gratify himself. First, he pushes into the ladies line, then he starts groping and rubbing himself onto them. Then he had the audacity to do it again and again. Make sure this predator is recognised every where so that the next time he doesn’t even dare to even think about repeating his vile and disgusting act!!
