It is largely a taboo in our society that a woman can’t live alone and even some dare to do that, they often suffer catcalling, disapproving glances and harassment. In these circumstances, there are some brave ladies who challenged the flawed norms and values of this society and became a breadwinner for their families through cooking!

48-years-old Kausar Bibi, a widowed woman has opened a restaurant in Sargodha with the help of six other widows who were spending their life in a despair. Kausur Bibi encouraged them to support their family as they are skilled and hard working. The exceptionally tasteful food is making this restaurant unique. People from far and wide can be seen lining up outside the restaurant for food.

During a talk with a local news channel, Kausur Bibi said that if Punjab Government helps them, she would create a bigger restaurant to create more opportunities for women like her. She specifically appealed Shahbaz Sharif to provide them a place for the restaurant.

In a very short time span, Kausur Bibi’s restaurant has got fame. People not only appreciated the mouth-watering food, they also admired the efforts of these widow women. One of the visitors told the reporter that from the food to the cleanliness, everything is perfect in the restaurant which is quite surprising for him.

These women from a rural area of Pakistan has demonstrated that they are capable of doing anything they want! Like Kausur Bibi, a lot of other women who are working to support their families have set an example and proved themselves as a source of motivation for us.
