Just yesterday, we heard how a medical student in Kohat was killed because she said ‘NO’ to a marriage proposal. A few days ago, kidnapping, rape, and murder of Zainab created a much-needed chaos in the country. The locals are being more responsive towards the duty and report the matters when they feel something suspicious happening in their families/surroundings. However, accountability from the authorities still remains missing.

Zubaria from Islamabad shared that she was stalked and later harassed by a man outside McDonald’s located in F9. The man first followed her and then unzipped his pants, to which Zubaria reacted and beat him.
She then reported to the guards as well, but no one came for help.

This wouldn’t be the first time men or the guards wouldn’t have come forward to help a female individual – most of the times, the matters go unnoticed because people either don’t come forward for help or they bury it.
The Matter Has Also Been Reported to the Police
It is indeed how we only care about something when the matters have crossed the level and things go out of hands. Such harassers need to be punished to make sure something like this doesn’t happen to anyone ever.
We need to set some examples, so a sense of fear may live in those who feel they can get away with anything.
Call out the harassers, punish them and make sure you set an example so they and the people with similar mindsets don’t do anything like this again.
