The political scenario in Pakistan is equivalent to that of a live comedy show where you find leaders of various political parties in a face-off trying to come up with better punch lines. More like a rap-battle where you demean each other only without a flow. However, this latest stunt pulled off by JUI-F leader Mufti Kifayatullah on a show has been making headlines for reasons that are hilarious.
While speaking on the 11th Hour with Waseem Badami, Mufti accused Jemima Goldsmith, former wife of Prime Minister Imran Khan to have links with the brains behind WikiLeaks; a website that leaks confidential information and inside-scoops on various ‘restricted’ materials such as spying, corruption, and war.

This shocking revelation of Jemima having a cousin named Wiki to be behind the page has caused a hysteria over Pakistani Twitter. Moreover, Mufti claimed that this cousin of hers is a jew who is accusing people wrongly. Adding to this claim, he further said, “Imran Khan, Jemima, the Goldsmith family, Henry Kissinger, and WikiLeaks are pieces of the same agenda,”

However, Jemima’s response to such ridiculous allegations became the highlight for the Pakistanis. She is known for her wittiness and epic responses on these social websites.

As much as it is hilarious it is downright sad. These are the leaders of not just a political party representing Pakistan, but also are the ‘enlightened’ ones in the world of Islam and religion. For them to be this misinformed is truly shameful. Furthermore, it only solidifies the truth of much-needed reforms in religious institutes across Pakistan.
Jemima’s classy yet composed clap back has everyone impressed. She is an intelligent woman who even after separation from Imran Khan continues to support him from afar.
