In a historic first-to-be, the Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) nominated a female judge to head Lahore High Court (LHC).
Historic development came when Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faiz Isa nominated Aalia Neelum Chief Justice Lahore-High-Court (LHC). Though Aalia Neelum stood third in the hierarchy, but, she has her own merits.
Merits of Aalia Neelum
Aalia Neelum was born in November 1966. Bachelors in LLB in 1995, enrolled in advocacy in 1996. Elevated to the bench in April 2013. Furthermore, Aalia has a Master of Arts in Political Science and a double diploma in Sharia Law and intellectual property.

In her illustrious career, she has dealt with 91 cases in the Supreme Court, and 850 in the Lahore High Court. Moreover, Aalia has dealt with 1473 cases in the trial court.
Aalia has an illustrious career which will aid her in the future. However, she superseded Justice Ali Baqar Naqvi.
