Breaking News: SSP Tahira Yasub Creates History as First Woman AIG in Gilgit-Baltistan Police!

In an amazing achievement, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Tahira Yasub now has an extra-important job in the Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) Police. She’s become the first woman to do this special job in our region. The GB police shared on social media that she’s one of the smartest and most experienced officers in their team.

Tahira Yasub knows a lot about running things smoothly in different parts of our police. Right now, she’s the boss at the Police Training College in Gilgit. Before this, she had other big roles, like being in charge of getting all the needed stuff for the police (AIG Logistics).

Back in 2011, she became the first woman to be the Traffic Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP). And in 2012, she spent 14 months teaching local and UN police in Sudan.

In 2019, she was promoted to SSP, making her the first woman Superintendent of Police (SP) in Gilgit-Baltistan. Tahira Yasub has a special degree in international relations from Karakoram International University. She’s even represented Pakistan in UN peacekeeping missions, showing off her skills to the whole world!
