After Bollywood actress Sonali Bendre, actor Ayushmann Khuranna’s wife and filmmaker Tahira Kashyap shaved her head after being diagnosed with cancer. On the 16th of January, Kashyap shared a picture of herself with her new look on Instagram that said:
“Hello, world! That’s a new me with the old self! Was getting tired of the extensions, so this is how it is and it’s so liberating in every sense of the word, so much so that I don’t have to duck the shower while bathing or while picking up the soap! I never thought I would go bald, was stretching my time with the good ol’ cap for too long. But this feels so good.” In the picture, Kashyap looks like a diva with big hoops, sunglasses and a blue T-shirt.
Her husband and Andhadun actor Ayushmann shared this picture on his Instagram story captioning it “loads of love to you.”
He also re-tweeted the picture saying “hottie” which just goes to show how much he supports his wife!

Moreover, the recently married and Padmaavat actress Deepika Padukone also re-tweeted Kashyap’s post that wrote “HOT” and actors Hrithik Roshan and Dia Mirza also took twitter to support Kashyap in this journey and shower her with all the love!

On September 22nd last year, Tahira announced online that she was detected with DCIS (ductal carcinoma in situ) in her right breast with high-grade malignant cells. Kashyap returned to work after mastectomy in November.
In an earlier interview with IANS, Ayushmann, who has two children with Tahira — Virajveer and Varushka, stated: “I am glad I have a partner like Tahira who is very brave, strong, who is an inspiration. I have started seeing life through a different prism. I was giving her my time, of course. In the morning I was promoting my films, in the nights I was with her in the hospital… It is not easy.”
Kashyap doesn’t stop being a superwoman, and is truly inspirational! Tahira has shown great determination and bravery. The result of it was that her final chemo session was a success and she is embracing her bald look. Women like these are to look up to.
