In the world of social media, one single news spreads out so rapidly like the speed of light. There isn’t just one platform to worry about, there are so many like Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, etc. Right now, social media is hyped up and pretty annoyed at our Humsafar star Mahira Khan for not participating in this year’s general elections.

The star was apparently in Canada along with other big names of the industry like Yasir Hussain, Kubra Khan, Hania Aamir, Bushra Ansari. They went to attend the Hum Style Awards 2018 this weekend. While the whole network of Hum TV is to blame, people are just pointing fingers at the starlet Mahira Khan. Hum Network should not have scheduled their awards and rehearsals during elections week. Especially when people are more aware of voting and its importance this year.

Khan had already apologized for not being in her home country during this crucial time but guess people haven’t forgiven her??

As much as I want to be there tomorrow, it is unfortunate that I can not be. There was absolutely no way to delay my work commitment which was scheduled months in advance, I tried my best. And so with a heavy heart I will not be voting this year. I urge all of you to get out and vote!! May this year bring the change we all have been waiting to see. InshAllah. She has expressed her regret that how sorry she feels for being abroad during election time. She also said that she could not have possibly done anything to postpone this no matter how much she wanted to be in Pakistan at this time. (Well how did the others like the Hocane sisters, Mehvish Hayat and Feroze Khan cast their vote then??)

Therefore, her fans were not satisfied with the explanation they received from her side and wanted her to be there.

Her followers are not buying the apology…

She is one of the biggest stars of Pakistan and that is why people expected more from her. The fact that she did not participate made other celebrities who did participate look good in the eyes of everyone.

Whatever we all say about the “Hocanes” they at least had the decency to vote before leaving, unlike Pakistan’s Sweetheart Mahira Khan ??‍♀️

But the biggest hate comment she received was from our very famous Faysal Qureshi’s daughter, Hanish Qureshi. Hanish posted on her Facebook what she felt about Mahira not being here for the elections.

Claiming that whilst Raees star Mahira was once a part of the election marketing campaign that inspired Pakistani’s to vote, Hanish roasted the diva for being away at the Election day.

Indeed Hanish isn’t wrong. Mahira Khan was once noticed in a marketing campaign for a well-liked espresso logo, wherein she shaped her personal birthday party and inspired other folks to vote! Although the advert was of chai vs espresso, it gave the message that it’s simply now not sufficient to speak about an exchange. As a way to create a revolution, one must push upwards and make a brand new global order conceivable.
