Harassment isn’t a joke and should never be taken as one, especially when it comes to cyberbullying. Most of the times, people would victim-shame. “You should’ve kept your account on private. You should keep your pictures on private. You shouldn’t be on Facebook if you are so offended. OH MY GOD…you shouldn’t even breath!”

The mindset you-shouldn’t-be-offended-over-cyberbullying really needs to go away because not only it allows stalkers to take advantage of the vulnerable state, but also encourages others to keep doing these inappropriate acts.

Social media is a hub where people interact with one another, share their day-to-day events and they should be comfortable while they do so. However, there is a certain proportion on the social media which violates the presence of others based on their sick thinking.

The Recent Victim of Cyberbullying is Another Girl…

For months, an anonymous guy would message a girl and her friends, telling them that he would leak her pictures if they don’t reply to his messages or contact the number he would give.

Instead of using her real name, he called her ‘Fatima’ and message her friends to text at a certain number to get her Fatima’s naked pictures.

So, she made the following post on her Facebook:

Absurd to see how someone has so much time on their hands to harass and bully someone based on bogus talks.

There needs to be a lesson taught to such individuals who are tampering the image and the reputation of someone they do not even know personally. The attempts to lure someone by making them text at the given number is extremely dangerous in terms of stalking.

Matters like these need to be reported to cybercrime cell and serious actions need to be taken by the authorities!
