1452 views

Let’s face it, there are times when couples end up having terrible arguments or fights with their significant other which leads to hurting one’s feelings really bad. It’s totally normal and healthy to have arguments as they make the bond between the two even stronger, but it depends upon what had been said during the argument. For this, we still need to make sure that even after we reunite, there isn’t any loophole left that would be filled with toxic thoughts later.

Every single human being goes through hard times in their lives, but as a partner, it is important to understand the amount of stress and struggles our S/O go through. In other words, we need to be there by their side, hold them up-close and tight telling them that we’re here through thick and thin.

To begin with, here are a few things every partner must avoid saying to their loved ones in a relationship.

1. Mai tumhary baghair nhi guzar sakta/sakti apni zindagi, mai marjaonga/marjaongi

Now, this saying is literally used by every couple out there. It’s one of the most common sayings people use in their relationship to express their love for their S/O.

No! You need to stop saying this immediately, because first, you have been living without them before they came into your life and second, it’s putting a lot of pressure on somebody. We understand that couples become extremely attached to each another and end up saying things like these, but the harsh truth, it puts one in a very risky position.

Due to such emotional sayings, couples end up taking terrible steps that hurt their family members and friends in many ways, so try avoud saying this at any cost.

2. My ex was way better with this compared to you.

NEVER, EVER, not even in a jokingly manner try to compare your partner with your previous one. This literally burns the heart to the core hearing stuff about your ex. Nobody ever wants to know what he/she was good at our how good/bad looking he/she was.

In general, try not to compare your partner with anyone out there because everyone is designed to function differently and no one is better off than anyone no matter how good or bad the person is.

3. Your dressing sense is weird

It might seem as if you’re helping out your partner into dressing much better, but no, you’re clearly bringing them down. “Yeh kesay kaprey pehen kar aagayi/aagye tum? Bachi lagrahi ho/mailay lagrahay ho.”

You might be saying it in a funny context and we might laugh it off by saying kuch aur nhi mila pehenay ko ya kaprey nhi dhulay thai type excuses, but the truth is deep down, they start thinking that our partner is embarrassed to see us dressed this way and does not want to be seen in public together.

4. Mujhe tumse thora waqt dur chahiye

Correction, “mujhe kuch waqt apne liye chahiye.” When you want time for yourself, try being careful with your words as they might create a misunderstanding in your partner’s mind that they want to distance themselves maybe because they are bothering them in some way.

5. Maine khwaab mein tumhe dekha tha, tum kisi aur k saath thay/thi.

We get it, sometimes our insecurity gets the best of us and we end up overthinking to ourselves which leads to such things we see in our dreams. Your partner might be super busy with his/her job or business and barely gets time to rest, yet tries his/her best to make up to you and when he/she does, you say this to them and it kills the mood.

Try to avoid overthinking and understand that your partner has other things to look after and trust us, they’re doing it for the best.
