So, what’s the big dealio? Well, remember the song ‘Chittiyan Kalaiyan Ve’? Yup, Kangana Ranaut’s song is set to its tune and the fun bit is that it caters to everything that is wrong with the Bollywood film industry. It is hilarious and it couldn’t get any better than this! Not just this but sh*t got real when the song tackled sexism, nepotism, and objectification in this video. Kangana Ranaut was the perfect personality to pull this off!

Here, watch the song for yourself!

Disclaimer: Make sure you have no kids around you (don’t say we didn’t warn you).

NOW, THAT WAS SOMETHING? WASN’T IT?? OMG.

However, coming back to Pakistani actresses here’s what they had to say after watching the video. According to Womensownpk, here are some of the reviews:

Mahira Khan

indiatoday.intoday.in

“I get it but our industry has other struggles right now. Both men and women are fighting to get rid of the stereotypes of the roles we play.”

Syra Shahroz

“I understand their point and admire her for being fearless and fierce but this is distasteful,” she tells us when we contact her for a comment.

Syra seemed a bit off about it and found it distasteful and here’s what she had to say,

“Like I said I understand where she’s coming from but the way it’s put out there is distasteful. Call me old fashioned I guess haha.”

Ayesha Omer

“Dude, I love the lyrics. I love the concept! It is SO apt!”

Here’s the part Ayesha enjoyed the most!

“I love the part when she says kuch bola tou diva Bulaye re, and also the pedophilia part, and when she says objectify the kaliyaan…I mean I love the chorus. It is brilliant!”

Mansha Pasha

“I love it. I thinks it is applicable everywhere and the Pakistani media industry in particular since that’s my point of reference.”

Here’s the part Mansha enjoyed the most!

Kuch boloin tau diva bulaeinya ray, Opinion pallu mein chupaya re!

Mira Sethi

lollywoodonline.com

“I think it’s fantastic! The song uses humour to drive home one of the oldest truths in showbiz: if you are a woman, you will likely be objectified, put in a cute little box, and requested to stay in said box for as long as you don’t have the brains to realise what a terrible and confining space that is,”

Momina Mustehsan

timesofislamabad.com

“AIB’s video with Kangana is a funny take on the sad reality. A lot of the lines resonated with me, especially “Sach bolun tou Diva bulayen re“. Literally, you have to think several times about the choice of your words before giving an opinion because being a woman, having an opinion makes you a diva.”

Urwa Hocane

Upon asking other fellow celebrities, they refused to share their comments on the song and said, “We wouldn’t want to be part of this”. Well, oopsies!

A few might find this offensive but what are your comments on the song? And… let us know your favorite part from the song in the comments below!
