Remember when the Bollywood film ‘Phantom’ was banned by Lahore High Court? Back in 2015, the court claimed that the screening of the film in Pakistan could put JuD Chief Hafiz Saeed’s life at risk. The film was said to be one of the most controversial films in recent years and also stirred a debate when TV star, Mawra Hocane said that the movie was against terrorism.
Here’s what Mawra had tweeted:

The tweets sparked a debate on Twitter and many people on social media took part in it; including the veteran actor Shan Shahid. Shan was clearly seen standing against her as he started running his own campaign against Mawra Hocane and the movie ‘Phantom’ using #bannedphantom #bannedmawra
Should we banned actress like her who is supporting anti pakistani movie?#bannedphantom#bannedmawra http://t.co/EkTmqFCePP

That’s when Mawra had to bring an end to this heated argument by sharing her two cents:
Open Letter to My Fans & Mr Shan Shahid:My tweets were out of utter ignorance for I had not seen the trailer neither…
