Meera Jee Donates Rs.25,000 To Dam Funds And People Are Appreciating Her Efforts

According to an IMF report, Pakistan ranks third among countries most affected by water scarcity. The experts of Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources (PCRWR) have already predicted last year that the country might run out of fresh water by 2020 or 2025 if the authorities didn’t take any immediate actions. The Chief Justice of Pakistan, Mian Saqib Nisar drew the attention of Pakistani government towards this serious situation and initiated the great national cause of construction of dams by himself. Soon after his call, Pakistanis from all over the world including celebrities, sportspeople, government officials, political leaders, Pakistan army forces started donating to Diamer-Bhasha Dam.

In this great initiative, how could Meera Jee be left behind? The renowned Pakistani actress, Meera, announced to donate Rs. 25,000 for the dam fund. While visiting the special children’s school, Meera told the media personnel about her donation. She shared her visit experience on the social media as well. She wrote in her post that “It was wonderful to celebrate the day with special kids today”

“We have to treat all kids equally. We need to all work together to shun the special treatment rich kids receive. #EqualityForAllKids”, Meera wrote in another post.

On the visit to Zainab Rehabilitation Center, Meera Jee told media that she has dedicated her time and efforts to raise the awareness and gathering funds for the noble cause. She added that Pakistanis should play their part too in the betterment of the country.

It should be noted that earlier this week, Meera Jee appreciated Mahira Khan for her recent visit at Afghan refugees with UNHCR. In another post, she applauded Amina Sheikh too for her philanthropic work.

Sweet!

It is good to see that Meera Jee, who always criticised Mahira Khan, has now taken a cue for this great purpose. We can just hope that Pakistani celebrities will keep their rivalry aside and join hands for the social work, this is what Pakistan needs now!
