So, I was chubby since my childhood. But lately, I became so lazy that somehow I ended up being 146kg. I literally hated going to the university and walking across the corridors felt like I am FAST’s mascot. So, it started on a lazy winter vacation night at 3 am in December 2016. This is when I said to myself, “enough is enough” and never looked back.

The first day at the gym was like it’s a long journey! But hey, who am I racing with? It’s just me vs me and I got to be better today than I was yesterday  and boom! A year passed by and here I am. Time will pass regardless but what you do with that time will determine what you’ll achieve. My life isn’t the same. Sometimes, it surprises me how far I’ve come. Weight loss is simple, a clean balanced diet and healthy workout routine. No shortcuts.

My mother has been a big support in this journey, who used to cook me delicious healthy meals throughout. I just had one slice of pizza and 1 burger in whole 2017, this was only possible because she made me all these delicious steaks at home. Certain things take sacrifices, I had to ditch some weddings and hangouts so I can focus on my diet, which is a bit extreme but sometimes in the flow you don’t realize this.

Also, I had a lot of people who supported me throughout but had some peeps who told me it’s “impossible” without certain medications. But this didn’t stop me and all this taught me was that – I am possible. Don’t let their opinions stop you. I took the pic on the left back in Feb 17’ and had lost almost 7kgs at that time. However, I didn’t look fit but I believed that one day, I’ll reach where I want to and feel amazing.

Honestly, in my mind I was like “dayymmn you are getting lean”, and I think that is what’s important. How you think about yourself will determine what you’ll achieve. You have to literally see yourself where you want to be. Before anyone, you have to believe in yourself because my friend, if you won’t, then no one else is going to.

It’s important to mention that I started weight loss so many times in the past 10 years but sadly, I failed. Started over so many times and I failed. Failure teaches you to not give up. Ever. Work for improvement, day by day, like they say, “Rome wasn’t built in a day”. Don’t forget your weight/fat doesn’t define who you are so, honey, love yourself unconditionally and don’t let anyone else define you. My journey isn’t over, still got some fat and gain some clean muscle back to which I am looking forward.
