Women are financially independent, getting married later in life (or staying single) and are even having kids on their own. Women abroad actually do pop the questions but sadly, in Pakistan ‘we’re not there yet.’ Although, we recently came across an anonymous post where a girl wanted to ask her partner his hand for marriage and posted it on social media for tips.

It might not be the most conventional way to begin a relationship but it sure is something interesting and worth looking into. Moreover, we personally think that the girl has the courage to go an extra mile for her beloved!

Here’s what this girl had to say:

“Hello everyone… my question might seem weird since it is about breaking stereotypes. Any suggestions/idea for proposing a boy and what place would be the most appropriate with regard to ambiance and food.

P.S: I knew that with such sort of non-conformist thinking I might have to bear the brunt of sarcastic comments so posting this from a faux identity.”

The entire thread got a massive response and people really appreciated and really appreciated the post. Women in Pakistan are usually asked to zip their mouths or called names if they even raise the question of making the first move. above all, women are usually and sadly looked down upon if they propose.

Although that’s not even the best part, the good bit is the responses people had for the girl who posted the query. They really are worth checking out, looks like there still are some people in Pakistan who aren’t as orthodox as we may believe.

This person really believes that whatever the girl is intending to do is perfectly normal!

 Loving all these comments and we really appreciate that these people are giving her their approval.

Concluding the entire debate, what we learned with this entire single post was the fact that today, we probably do have people who might be open to women proposing to men. There just might be a chance that men will be okay with women proposing them but for that, we’ll have to see! Would any of you girls out there be down for something like this? Or would any of you men out there be comfortable if your girlfriends pop the question?
