In the light of recent events, a deadly game has been introduced that’s based on the movie ‘Nerve’ in which the player is required to fulfill a total of 50 tasks. The 50th task being to take their own life. However, if the player decides to quit at any level or leave, the game threatens them by harming their family and causing distress in the lives of their loved ones. Depressed teenagers around the world have fallen victim to this and have committed suicide. The game revolves around the cruelty of Blue Whales in the world. The inventor claims to ‘clean’ the population by making them commit suicide at the end and help save the Blue Whale.

We’ve been hearing news about this internationally, but it has presently hit Pakistan. What once seemed far is now at eye level. This game has been ridiculed on social media and people question as to how a certain game can convince them to commit suicide. Well, there’s a lot of weird things happening in our day and age (albeit) that have no explanation and their persuasive powers are immense.

There has been a report that Blue Whale reached out to two individuals who have reported their current situation to a psychiatrist. One of them being an Information Technology expert claimed to merely test out the game. Lucky for them, they were just in time and no damage had been done. Their lives were saved.

But that’s not it. A girl from Lahore claimed to receive an email from an anonymous sender. Take a look.

As astonishing as this is, the girl was smart enough to tell them she wasn’t interested. This is how the sender took her reply

Glady, our girl knew how to handle the situation well and she contacted higher authorities.

This isn’t funny anymore – it never was. The fact that our privacy can be breached so easily is alarming. Everyone is encouraged to not ignore such emails and contact 0800-39393 if they feel the need to.

Stay safe everyone! Your life matters, you matter.
