Except for extreme summer, everytime in Pakistan is a wedding season. Since we have now non-stop wedding seasons where we ran out of clothes to wear and attend each and every wedding. Sometimes, it makes many Pakistanis and Indians wish we too could have a plain white or black dress at our big fat weddings. But NO! Every wedding in Pakistan and India needs to look like a rangoli, nothing less nothing more. What’s a subcontinental wedding without all colors of rainbows?!
Plus, a big fat wedding doesn’t only consist of colors but a LOT of money! No jokes. Counting the items on the list of a proper Pakistani wedding would go to the moon. From the dress to shoes to mehndi to makeup to jewelry and it goes on and on and on. Now, Disney does not produce desi fairytales so we got one for ourselves. 😉 Sabyasachi Mukherjee! *naam he kafi hai* Sabyasachi is an Indian fashion designer from Kolkata. He started off his career by selling designer merchandise with the name tag” Sabyasachi”. Sabyasachi gained popularity in recent times with his simple philosophy “Personalised imperfection of a human hand”. He not only gained popularity in India but Pakistan too.

Amrita was going to have a destination wedding. Outdoorsy, with a lot of sunshine and fresh flowers.
Amrita @amupuri was going to have a destination wedding. Outdoorsy, with lot of sunshine and fresh flowers. She wanted to wear something fragrant, light yet glamourous. She loved The Udaipur Collection but wanted something special. I had a Persian document that had been fascinating me for quite a while. So we sat down on the drawing board and translated the document into a wedding lehenga panel. Hundred and eleven colours of silk thread in vintage Persian shades were used to create a decorative base and embellished with bugle beads, hand-cut sequins, crystals and pearls. The wedding looked nothing short of a fairy tale and may we say the lehenga looked absolutely gorgeous on her. @bridesofsabyasachi Image Courtesy: @rambalmur #Sabyasachi #TheWorldOfSabyasachi
