The journey to any arranged marriage starts from a stereotypical process in Pakistan which is named as “Rishta”. It starts with a few questions to increase the peer pressure of shadi on the parents. “Shadi kab karo gi? Aray apnay bohat der kardi? Isko koi pasand hai kya jo shadi late kr rae hain?”

And the most frequently asked question which hits the last nail to the coffin, “Ap iska rishta dhund rae hain?” And there you go a Jennie kind of a figure appears which we call a “Rishta Aunty” and then voila; here come the families in groups of fours and fives, tagging their son along to your house.

Now, to make this process even easier and annoying the well-known transportation network “Careem” has started a service named “Rishta Aunty” which spread like a fire on the internet. People went crazy over this and immediately started to comment, make memes etc.
