Tennis star Sania Mirza celebrated her 34th birthday in full swing during her stay in Karachi on November 15. She did not let the COVID-19 pandemic put a damper on her birthday festivities as she gave a glimpse of the lavish celebrations.
Mirza’s husband and cricketer Shoaib Malik along with former TV host Shaista Lodhi surprised the superstar with a birthday dinner at Lodhi’s residence. Lodhi made her birthday even more memorable by hosting the party.
The six Grand Slam titles recipient stunned in a midi white floral dress. On the other hand, Malik kept things casual in a vibrant orange sweatshirt. Whereas, Lodhi donned a black and white digital jacket.
Moreover, the birthday girl uploaded pictures from the event on her Instagram, thanking her husband and friends. “Thank you all for your wonderful wishes and so much love. I truly feel blessed. I had the most amazing time with family and friends. Thank you to Shoaib for the amazing surprise,” she wrote.
Mirza beamed with joy in all her family photos as she posed alongside her husband and two-year-old son Izhaan Mirza. She also wrote ‘home’ alongside one of the pictures. The birthday girl went on to appreciate the scintillating décor at the Lodhi residence on her Instagram stories. Meanwhile, the host also shared pictures of the event on her social.
Inside Sania Mirza’s surprise birthday celebration
Mirza was embraced by gold and black balloons along with other decorative pieces, adding to the dreamy look.
It is pertinent to mention that Mirza along with her son Izhaan was in Karachi to support her husband in the playoffs of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2020. Malik represented Peshawar Zalmi in the PSL 2020.
However, the team did not qualify for the PSL final scheduled for today (Tuesday) at 8 pm at National Stadium, Karachi. The final will be played between Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars.
Mirza plans to make her digital debut with the web-series MTV Nishedh Alone Together, a show that aims to raise awareness about tuberculosis. It is a digital spin-off of the TV show MTV Nishedh, which premiered in January this year. She will be playing her own self in the fictional series.
Mirza and Malik are one of the famous desi couples and are loved both in Pakistan, as well as India. The Indian Tennis star recently shared a new video in which she was giving a dua lesson to her son Izhaan. She actually taught him all the duas and felt super proud of him.
