Shahid Afridi Won’t Allow His Daughters To Play Outdoor Sports And People Expected More From Lala!

Shahid Afridi is known for his bold statements and someone who doesn’t shy away from criticism and backlash. Recently, Shahid released his biography named ‘Game Changer’  and didn’t hold back with his opinions and thoughts. In the book, he made startling revelations about his personal and professional life, as well. One of these revelations has definitely irked people out.

Daughters not allowed to play outdoor sports. Declares: Feminists can say whatever on my decision

In the book, Shahid clearly states that his daughters are not allowed by him to play outdoor sports due to religious and social reasons. He is a father to four daughters, namely, Ansha, Ajwa, Asmara and Aqsa Afridi. According to him, two of his daughters in their late-teens are great at outdoor sports, however, better at academics.

In his book Game Changer, he mentioned regarding his daughters becoming sportswomen like him, “The feminists can say whatever they want about my decision,”.

Afridi continued on in the book, “Ajwa and Asmara are the youngest and love to play dress-up. They have my permission to play any sport, as long as they’re indoors. Cricket? No, not for my girls. They have permission to play all the indoor games they want, but my daughters are not going to be competing in public sporting activities.”

Afridi facing heavy criticism and yet again is being called a ‘misogynist’

“Your daughters are not property, they’re human. Freedom is the right of each human Your no hero when u disrespect the right of choice.Your daughters will not be a Sana Mir or ever climb Mt Everest like Samina Baig.Your no Hero”

“When all else fails, go to the guy who kept fudging his age, made multiple comebacks after retiring and proudly announces that his daughters can’t play any outdoor games. He was always a wannabe as a cricketer n now trying hard to be one as an author. Get adopted by #ShahidAfridi”

“ShahidAfridi’s career was mediocre at best. His misogynistic remarks over his daughters playing cricket is not surprising considering his comments on Pak’s women’s cricket team. He should change his misogynistic views instead of being the #GameChanger.”

“He is “do what I say not what I do”misogynist. He himself does advertisements involving daughters of other people, yet doesn’t want his own daughters to have this freedom. Which is not even his discretion in the first place to curb. #Hypocrisy #ShahidAfridi #Feminism go to hell.”

He, as a father, has every right to make decisions about his children’s lives and we wish his daughters the best in all of their professional endeavors.
