The news of Fasiha Noor’s death was all over the internet. The young and brave Fasiha Noor from Islamabad was diagnosed with stage 3 Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in April 2016. This is basically a type of cancer in the blood and more specifically in the bone marrow. In Lymphoblastic Leukemia, the bone marrow abnormally starts generating more number of a specific type of White blood cells called the Lymphocytes.

The story of Fasiha Noor became famous all over the internet when some of her friends and family started posting about her disease and condition. They also requested everyone to pray for her. With the passage of time, Fasiha’s state of health began to decline rapidly and she was left with no option other than getting a marrow transplant.

Being a widow, Fasiha’s mom couldn’t obviously afford the expenses of this very long and costly treatment. Therefore, Fashia’s friends started a kind of social media movement on Instagram to gather funds for her. The movement rapidly acquired everyone’s consideration and everyone started sharing Fasiha’s friend’s Instastory. A gofundme was set up by Fasiha’s friend and everyone started donating generously online for Fasiha.

But life is very unfortunate and even the most sincere effort of human beings are helpless in front of the decree of fate. After fighting courageously with cancer for many months, Fasiha left for the heavens last night. Fasiha’s death is a lesson for all of us that life can end at any moment and we cannot do anything about it. So we should love and live to the fullest.
