Most of us come from conservative family backgrounds and being a girl itself, specially a single one! It is a major problem for our typical minded elders who think that girls are better off staying at home and shouldn’t spend much time alone outside especially after maghrib! “Kyun kai beta, raatko sirf awaara log bahar nikalte hain, jo kaam krne hain din mai jakar kiya kro bhai k saath” Yeah….as if humay saarey zaroori kaam chourkar yehi krna rehgaya hai”.

To some extent, our parents are right and it’s ok for them to be this “fikarmand” for us, since we mean the world to them, but it’s time that they start trusting their daughters and let them go out and experience the freedom they’ve always dreamt of. This will only make us fall in love even more with our parents for trusting us this much and will technically, shut all the haters down for once.

So, girls! Without further ado, we bring you these 4 amazing ideas you should try using to convince your parents to let you go out/travel out all by yourself or with friends:

 1. Building trust between your parents and your friends.

Invite your friends over for tea or just a random get together at your place so that your parents meet them and feel at comfort. It is important for them to know that the people my daughter spends time with or even invite their families too so that there is more trust developed amongst all.

This way if you ever want to go out by yourself, your friends can cover up for you and you can enjoy all the time you want when you’re outside.

2. When you go out, assure them your safety by sharing your location on Whatsapp

Even if it’s as near as a walking distance, your parents must know your whereabouts at any cost to assure your safety, if not this, then a call would still do the job.

3.  Let your parents know that you’re going out with your friends for a certain amount of time, let’s say 3 hours and come back a little earlier than expected.

This way they’ll start getting used to your outings and voila! You have just begun mastering the art of living your life independently.

4. Make sure, that whenever you go out with friends especially when boys are there too…take at least 3-4 girls.

So when some jasoos rishtedaar, God forbid sees you, you can pretend as if the guys aren’t a part of your outing and it’s just you and your gals having the time of your lives!
