Women in Karachi Went Berserk and Flooded Sana Safinaz Store to Avail 70% Discounts

On paper, Pakistan is said to be an emerging market where poverty is still one of the major concerns to look after. But given how the locals react each them when a sale breaks, one wonders what the truth really is.

Off and on, you will see on your Facebook timeline how women are seen breaking the doors of a shop, making the longest queues outside a store that is offering sale and fighting with each other over clothes on sale.

Yep, what a poor country.

Not to Forget this Long Queue Outside Sapphire’s Store a few Months Ago in Lahore

One wonders, what will one even shop for after seeing such a long queue of women, wasting so much time. Just spend extra bucks and save yourself from all the humiliation, don’t you think?

Anyway, Not that It Matters but Similar is the Situation Outside Leading Pakistani Brand Sana Safinaz

The brand announced 70% discounts in their Lucky One Mall outlet and all hell broke loose. Women were seen making a huge crowd outside Sana Safinaz, wasting time while challenging other women to enter first.

If the adults are behaving in such a manner, one wonders what the upbringing of the children would look like. Situations like these involve a literal representation of a stampede. Women are pushing one another, trying to get in the line first, throwing fits on one another and what not.

Leading brands who do not even need to throw such sales for the sake of publicity or extra sales do such acts every now and then. A few days later, a statement is released by the administration, “apologizing” for mismanagement. While this has been happening for the past few years, it continues happening every year these brands announce a sale.

Neither we learn, nor do they.
