Muniba Mazari aka ‘Iron Lady’, is on one of those names and strong personalities that has made Pakistan proud in many ways. Having met a terrible accident in 2007, Muniba lost her ability to walk due to multiple spinal cord injuries. Despite the terrible accident and injuries, she stood strong and took an optimistic approach towards life. Being an artist, a writer, an activist, she is also a motivational speaker who has set a brilliant example for all of Pakistan. In fact, all around the world.
Just recently, a news hit social media like a storm and it turns out to be that her former husband, Khurram Shahzad, a former fighter pilot of Pakistan Air Force, has filed a lawsuit against his former wife, Muniba Mazari, for “blaming and bashing him for all her afflictions”. He went on saying that after the accident, he opted for the best hospital for her treatment, despite having access to free treatment at military hospitals.

According to news, Shahzad added:
“After recovering from this trauma, the plaintiff and defendant were upset because of not having any child. In the opinion of doctors, the defendant could give birth to a baby but it was agreed mutually to go for adoption. In order to strengthen their relation they adopted a baby boy on 12 April 2011 when he was only four days old and looked after him like their own real son,” Shahzad said.
Speaking of their marriage, he said that Muniba got herself involved in activities which he couldn’t allow her and went against religion, moral and social values that were accustomed to his family. He also said that Muniba had filed for Khula on 6th March 2015, despite him not wanting to dissolve the marriage. However, it was obtained from the court and was effective on June 12, 2015.
“Being an esteemed officer of the defense forces, the plaintiff could not allow the defendant to continue such practices and eventually tried to stop her. The defendant instead of stopping, with her free will and choice left the house of plaintiff in September 2014 along with the minor adopted son,” he said.
Muniba had to speak up and being the ‘Iron Lady’ she is, tweeted:

According to Khurram Shahzad, it turns out that Muniba’s contradictory words and statements have been hurtful to him and his family as she has fearlessly said things about him publicly on different platforms. However, he demands Rs. 1,00,000,000 as a recovery for all the damage that has been done on account of her defamatory statements against him.
