On Friday, an unfortunate incident in Government Post Graduate College for Women in Rawalpindi raised many questions on the educational institutions of Pakistan. It has been seen that these institutions cover-up the real issues for the sake of their reputation and the same thing happened on September 28th when a hostel resident of University of Gujrat Rawalpindi Campus died because of the negligence of the administration.
According to media reports, a 20-years-old student Arooj Fatima from Attock who was residing at the hostel reportedly fell ill on Friday morning. When Arooj informed the warden about her illness, the warden showed careless and disgusting behavior. Arooj was not provided with the medical assistance which results in loss of life.
Her roommates told media that Arooj was bitten by an insect on Thursday night and she had a severe headache. When her friends went to the hostel warden to ask her to take Arooj to the hospital, the warden refused because it was after curfew. The warden asked Arooj fellows to wait for her parents, who were due to arrive the next morning.
After the miserable incident, the fellow students raised their voices against the injustice attitude of campus authorities who were trying to portray the incident as a suicide case.
During a press conference, Dr. Alia Sohail Khan, college’s principal claims that Arooj Fatima had cardiac issues.
This director is clearly lying about Arooj fatima's condition..I have already posted this video but now I wanna post it again. Yeh toh hogye iske alfaaz. #JusticeForAroojFatima pic.twitter.com/vIjIX3VXLC

Arooj Fatima’s mother told the media that she wasn’t allowed to call her.
till 9am Arooj's family kept asking to take her to the Hospital.

As soon as social media swirled with Arooj Fatima’s death, CM Punjab Usman Buzdar took notice of her death.
Arooj was in her third semester of Applied Translation Studies at the English Department. According to her fellows, she was a bright student. They are protesting for her because they are in fear that if someday this will happen to any of them, the administration of the college would treat in the same way.
