I know you don’t want to hear it, but physical exercise does make you feel better about yourself; however, it doesn’t have to be jogging or crunches. You can do something as simple as dancing alone in your room or anything that gets your heart rate up and makes your cheeks pink will do the trick.

Saying a phrase over and over will lead to you eventually believing it, having a mantra helps to boost your confidence and lessen your anxiety. Some other mantras include: I am good enough and look how far I’ve come.

8.  Get Creative

Make a bracelet, bake some cupcakes, do a self-portrait, rearrange your closet or decorate. Creativity is the epitome of beauty, and making something will guarantee you feeling pretty in every inch of your core. This will also distract your brain from any negative thoughts and you are your own worst enemy when it comes to picking out your flaws.

At the end of the day, you need to realize your flaws are a part of you for better or for worse. Some days will be better than others and to feel confident and pretty is going to be a lifelong struggle whether you like it or not. Surrounding yourself with the people you love and things that help you grow will always make you feel pretty. Try to understand even on your ‘bad’ days you’re doing better than you think.
