“Friends” cast gathered up for an HBO Max reunion special!
Particularly, “Friends” might be the only TV series that is entertaining generations since the ’90s and is still running successfully. However, this year, Jennifer Aniston’s signing up on Instagram crashed the application temporarily as the TV series holds a phenomenal fan following. Among recent news, the “Friends” cast has finally teamed up to produce a reunion special with Home Box Office (HBO) Max.
This first post of Jennifer Aniston on Instagram with the whole “Friends” cast had fans’ expectations high for a comeback!
Well, this definitely calls for a ‘routine dance’ and recall Chandler’s ‘www-dot-haha-not-so-much-dot-com’ seriousness. As per media reports, a ‘nonscripted’ reunion of the original cast and the co-creators Marta Kauffman and David Crane. Specifically, the cast members include Matthew Perry, Courtney Cox, David Schwimmer, Jennifer Aniston, Matt Le Blanc, and Lisa Kudrow.
Twelve full episodes of “Friends” to be screened at cinemas across the UK!
Previously, the hit sitcom entered its 25th successful year last month with happening news for the United Kingdom (UK) fans. Reportedly, a total of twelve episodes of “Friends” are scheduled to be screened in cinemas all across the UK next month in December. After having the series on the big screens, the reunion special came in unexpected and social media is in awe.
Before this “Friends” reunion, several rumors had been spreading regarding the comical series. While the lead cast were all in denial of anything coming up relating to the sitcom, a fan-made clip of the cast took the internet by storm. Later, after the truth was revealed, fans showed disappointment and the demand for a reunion got high.
Marta Kauffman’s stance on the previous reunion rumors!
Still, the co-creators, as well as all six lead actors, have refrained from commenting anything on the production. On the 25th anniversary of the most loved sitcom, Marta Kauffman had spoken regarding the reunion at a Tribeca TV Festival. The co-creator stated, “There are two reasons for that. One of the reasons we won’t do a reunion is because this is a show about a time in your life when your friends are your family”.
“And when you have a family, that changes. But the other reason is it’s not going to beat what we did”, she added. Similarly, Jennifer Aniston who plays the role of Rachel Green in “Friends” also commented on the unity in a talk show. The actor revealed, “I would love for there to be something, but we don’t know what that something is”.
It seems like the cast and crew of the sitcom were ‘on a break’ but thankfully, the reunion is confirmed now.
