The progressive mindset in the 21st century revolves around freedom of speech – letting people walk the way they want, talk the way they want and do what they want. Without involving any religious differences and societal norms, collectively, the world is evolving. Well, in most of the cases, but it seems in Pakistan, it continues being an issue.

Just a few days ago, the world witnessed the historic movement when Saudi Arabia finally allowed their women to drive around the country. While this has never been an issue for Pakistan, by law and constitution, it remains a hurdle due to many men on the road.

Ifrah Humayun from Karachi Experienced a Similar Situation

While driving at Clifton road, Ifrah was harassed and bullied by a private police unit filled with men in uniform. They kicked her car from the back and when Ifrah tried to stop them, they slut-shamed her.

Here’s How Ifrah Narrated the Incident:

I was patiently waiting in the right lane while stuck in traffic at Clifton underpass when this private security unit appeared out of nowhere and one of the guys sitting at the back kicked my car with all his force. Once confronted these shameless men called me and my friend sluts and what not and told us that we cannot do shit about it. Why? All because there were two girls only?

And to harass us and have get some thrill out of it? I want all of you to share this post and support, just because these men need to know that they cannot harass any women out there! It was me and my friend who were the victims. It could be you, your mother or your sister tomorrow!!
