I want to highlight something very important and frustrating that has been going on in our system and most people don’t know about it.

So it was my sister’s zoology practical today in a renowned college of Karachi “Government College for Women Sharahe Liaquat” near Urdu Bazar. There, her zoology internal, Miss Sadia Abbas, forcefully charged each student Rs.50, FOR NO REASON. She was so strict and yelled at everyone that nobody dared to ask her the reason and whoever did, was bashed by her. One of the girls didn’t have money so she confiscated her admit card.

She kept yelling, during the practical “ALLAH KARE TUM ME SE KISI KA ADMISSION DOW ME NA HO” bringing the morale of poor students further down. WHAT IS THIS MONEY FOR? It is clearly a “bribe” those poor students are so young to be involved in this. What is wrong with the system? Why is nobody looking into the matter?

My brother studied from another renowned college “Adamjee Government College” and there, they were told to pay some money if they wanted to clear the practical examination with good marks.

Is this why we go to government colleges? To be bribed by teachers, assistants there? Aren’t they already getting enough salaries from the government? I really wish this matter comes to light, and that teacher Sadia Abbasi be asked about this.
