So, here’s to all the pyaray pyaray Islami bhaiyon aur bheno! Growing up in a Pakistan, Muslim family, we all are taught from the day we are born that there are certain things that we are NOT supposed to do. In fact, we can’t even think about them. Yeah! Now you can totally recall your mom’s voice, “Sochna bhi mat!”
On a serious note, sometimes, we go a little far from praying and remembering Allah during small moments like starting a meal and drinking water, there are certain things that would be in our minds that a Muslim, in his/her right state of mind SHOULD NEVER DO because it is declared haram in Islam.
So, we asked a few Muslims if they were given a chance to do ANY of the haram things if it is declared halal…
Here are a few things:
Brace yourself *hides in the corner*
1. Gambling
Je haan! You heard that absolutely right. Some of the people really wish this; saying they would gamble like anything. Also, to enhance your knowledge, gambling is not sitting in a casino and doing ayashi! Speculation is one of the forms of gambling.
2. Tattoo
Haan bhae! Everyone gets attracted watching all those sizzling tattoos over the internet, but oh well. You is a paka sacha Musalaman. Okay?
3. Bacon, Alcohol and Weeeed 😀
Imagine your mom hearing you say that you would want to have alcohol and bacon. Just imagine!
4. Adultery!
YES! Some people replied that if it was not haram, they would commit adultery! Okay, we are not judging you. But we are just leaving this Quranic verse for you to remind yourself again why it is haram!
‘Nor come close to Adultery : for it is a shameful (deed) and an evil,’ (17: 32)
5. Murder
Upon asking for “what you’d like to do one haram thing if it were to become halal” someone said “Murder” WOAH WOAH! That was scary. But do remember that if it was not haram and you would kill someone, someone else can kill you too!
6. Black Magic
This was the most interesting answer! Someone said that if black magic was not haram, they would use it to possess all the mind power! WOWWW! Okay, no matter how amazing it sounds, it’s still haram.
7. Suicide
There are so many people who said that they have stopped themselves after having such horrifying thoughts, just because it’s haram! Allah never approves of someones who takes his own life. Because life is a gift given to a human by Allah, also disbelief in Islam is shirk. So, have faith. Allah bara hai!
This is actually the nurturing that is being put inside of our heads from childhood which makes its home in us, somewhere. For example, in some people’s house, watching loud TV is PROHIBITED! So, such people when they are out of the home space and even are in a hotel room alone, would still watch TV in a low volume. Now you get the point, right?
