There are times when marriages don’t seem to work out the way we expect them to. But couples who really want to make it work, try to sort things out and try to live a happy married life. It is absolutely normal for every couple to experience ups and downs in their marriage, which at times, is a good thing. Your problems bring you closer and you get to know a lot about your better half.

Recently, a video took over social media like a storm which was appalling and disrespectful. People were outraged after watching the video and it was something not many had seen before. A couple was caught on camera by a man in Faisalabad, where they were traveling on a bike, and the woman could be seen brutally tied, sitting sideways in front of her husband; on the tank. The wife’s hands and legs were tied with torn pieces of clothes of his husband’s.

Upon interrogation by the man who made the video, the husband, Muhammad Shakeel, told him that his wife was angry with him and was going to her parents’ house, and that’s when he went after her to stop her from going…

Whatever the case was, many people went on saying that the man who was recording the video could’ve left the couple alone as it was their personal matter. Well, not really. If they were doing this out in the public, people would definitely speak up. Isn’t that what everyone says? To stop such public acts by speaking up and stopping that person? And this is something which is absolutely needed in Pakistan. The guy recording the video spoke in a very polite manner and hope the young couple learned a lesson.

Acts of harassment, mugging, and whatnot are on the rise and all of this can be stopped if we start speaking up. This act of nastiness surely cannot be justified because there are many other ways he could’ve stopped his wife instead of tying her up and going around in public on the motorbike. Is this how one respects his wife?
