A groundbreaking, controversial Indian TV show which doesn’t show any sort of defamation of Pakistan? Not possible. Sacred Games was and still is the talk when it comes to South Asian shows on Netflix. The show which starts Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Saif Ali Khan created a storm of its own among the masses days within its release. The second season of the show was announced soon after it was aired based on the hype it created.

Like many Indian shows based on politics, this one involves a Pakistani connection as well. While the show has yet to establish a connection between Gaitonde (Nawazudin Siddiqui) and Zoya Mirza (Elnaz Nourozi), during investigation, Sartaj (Saif Ali Khan) finds the real passport of Zoya, a leading Indian actress.

The passport reveals that Zoya’s real name is Rozi Pervez and she is from Quetta, Pakistan. Her character was shown as a prostitute who offered her services to Gaitonde when he was in jail. Now he did Gaitonde help her? We have yet to find that out.

And originally, this is what a Pakistani passport’s format is:

Now of course, the makers could have used an Indian-fitting scenario for Zoya Mirza, but they had to make sure she had ties with Pakistan in their own way to defame the country, which is something they mostly do when it comes to their films and shows.

Anyway, let’s wait and see if they link this any further with India-Pakistan issues or not.
