Well, talking of talented and empowered women in Pakistan, we have a long list! The list comprises of women working and acing in all the fields ever invented! From first female prime minister to the first female mountaineer. We have women who know no boundaries. These are women who are self-made and these are the women we are proud of. Women like them get bashed, hated on and what not but they get up every time and crush the haters with silence but hard work.
And when we talk about self-made women in Pakistan, Nabila Maqsood is the one lady who everyone would agree is the truly an empowered woman! She’s a hairstylist, entrepreneur and a perfectionist at her work!
She’s made a brand out of pure talent and business skills
Like any other women in Pakistan, Nabila too has some sizable amount of haters. Recently, Nabila was live with Parhlo for an exclusive interview regarding her brand “Zero makeup”. Only that was then when someone from the viewers asked the (in)famous question from Nabila. They asked, “What’s with the glasses?” to which our host, Ariba said, “Guys, it’s just a style statement.”
But Nabila said,
” I would really want to answer this one. I have heard a lot from people about my glasses, by I guess this is the time I should address this.” She explained: “These are actually my powered glasses. I try to put some tint in it so I can wear them outdoors as well.”

She also said that people in Pakistan are so intolerant that they can’t let people be what they want to be.
She further added,
“People here only know about vanilla but that doesn’t eliminate the fact that chocolate, wasabi, and other flavors don’t exist.” She asked people to enlighten themselves so they could understand there’s more to things that they know.”
Enough said. Well replied. WOHOOO!!
Nabila said that I usually ignored people who asked me if I had a surgery done or something else but now I would really like to tell people. She just simply said that anyone’s comment doesn’t affect me. I am confident enough to carry myself and do whatever I want to do. So, she said it all! Kudos!
