For those who have had the experience of giving birth to babies, they know how painful the process is. Not only in terms of the entire procedure, but also in respect to pre and post delivery aspects. While inside the mother’s womb, it is essential for the baby to be in a certain position, weight certain kilograms and other aspects.
If even one of the very important medical aspect doesn’t go as planned, things can go South and something like this happened in the case of a newborn in Karachi. While the delivery had to be done through C-Section, the negligence of the doctor caused the death of the baby.

This is a case of an intentional murder of a newborn at DAR UL SEHET HOSPITAL Gulistan e Johar.
At 3 am 13th Sep, I went to Dar ul sehet hospital as my wife was having labor pain. At emergency, they checked and informed that patient has to be admitted and an operation has to be done (which was already planned as the normal delivery cannot take place due to the large size of baby). They called the consultant “Dr. Fauzia Akmal” the culprit, who arrived after 4 hours at 7 am.
She checked my wife and took her to operation theater. But after few mins came out and said: “we will give a try for normal delivery”. I said that normal delivery cannot take place but she insisted us to wait. Then she left the hospital and came after 12 hours (6 PM).
Till then I was continuously trying to contact her and she was constantly saying that my staff is monitoring and if anything happens they will inform me.
At 6:30 PM she took my to operation theater again and my baby was born with difficulty in breathing. She told us that your baby is fine and not to worry. He was shifted to NICU where he was kept on a ventilator. NICU staff told me that he is in critical condition and duration was too long for him inside. He was suffering from “Oxygen Deprivation”.
In the meanwhile, Dr. Fauzia was constantly telling us that your baby is fine and no need to worry. PEADS doctor checks my baby and told to shift him to another better hospital like Aga Khan or Sambros. I checked the availability of ventilators at Aga Khan but all were occupied. Then I checked at Sambros, they agreed to admit my baby.
at 12:30 have I shifted him to Sambros hospital where they checked and said that chances are very low to survive because first, he was oxygen deprived due to the stupidity of Dr. Fauzia, secondly the first aid treatment which was given at NICU was not good.
After 2 days, my baby died at Sambros hospital. He was so healthy and weighed 4kgs. He died because of the negligence of Darul Sehet hospital & Dr. Fauzia.

Doctors need to understand that they hold the responsibility of delivering a baby to this world, a baby which could form a family, a baby couples had been trying to have for some time.
