The story of 21-year-old Hareem Fatima was published on multiple social media platforms including Parhlo. We have come to know that she has made every Pakistani proud by winning Rs. 10k  at ChaiChalk’s story writing competition (organized by students of LUMS).

So, was this story actually good? Syed Ommer, founder of the literary startup called ‘Dastaan’ acknowledged her work. Now, Hareem is working on publishing her poetry collection entitled as ‘Saving the Soul’. She also encouraged the youth to run their own startup businesses.

Her hard work is directed towards a beautiful purpose which is to break the stereotypical image printed on the minds of the majority of the Pakistanis that ‘mental disorders are a weakness and a taboo’.

“They certainly are not.”, She said. “We are what we choose to be.”
