Women driving bikes in Pakistan is an uncommon sight, although slowly and steadily you will find a woman or two driving bikes making us proud. Recently, Minahil Baloch, the brave, breaker of norms representing more than half of Pakistani women’s problems regarding commute took it to twitter and had a great message to share.
Minahil is a frequent user of bike hailing services encouraged other women to choose bike as an option regardless of what society thinks and dictates to girls
Scare them, hurt their egos, invade the spaces they took from you for 1000s of years, brutally hurt their egos while you live your life as you want to
Just btw, here's me at 12 am in the night, going to pull k us paar se is paar and not giving a fuxk about the stares i got pic.twitter.com/D2g28xvj3X

This initiative gained her naysayers and supporters alike. Afterward, she decided to simply get a bike of her own but couldn’t afford one. With the suggestions of some Twitter users, she went ahead with the idea of asking for donations.
I'm starting crowdfunding to get myself a scooty, since gofundme doesn't work in Pakistan. If you need my account details, pls reply to this tweet i will dm them to you.

Minahil set the goal at 70,000 rupees for her brand new scooty and Pakistanis didn’t disappoint
In JUST 24 hrs with the generosity of Pakistanis, she raised her funds successfully and was super happy about it. Although she doesn’t know how to ride one, Minahil plans on learning. Yay!
Here’s one excited Minahil

We do have several women that ride motorcycles but with this recent social media campaign of sorts initiated by Minahil Baloch will give other women hope and courage to start driving bikes with all safety precautions in check. It’s time we normalize this, so not only it makes commute cheaper and easier for women but the harassment and ogling that the few receive will stop as well.
