Who doesn’t know about the Pakistani female singer Qurat-ul-Ain Balouch? Her soulful and heartfelt voice almost melts the hearts of the listeners. She is behind the OST of Humsafar – one of the superhit drama serials of the Pakistani drama industry. However, Qurat-ul-Ain isn’t famous for her songs only, her vocal statement on Imran-Gulalai Saga last year made her controversial too! She knows where and how to use her strength – her voice!

During an interview to a private media group, Qurat-ul-Ain Baluch expressed her concerns on calling her QB. She said that she doesn’t like people calling her QB because Qandeel Baloch was also referred to as QB.

“I don’t feel comfortable with people referring to me with those initials. They were constantly taunting and making, like, certain jokes that I just couldn’t stand. So, I started asking people to just call me by my first name”.

Talking about Qandeel, Qurat-ul-Ain said that Qandeel Baloch was a reflection of society. She was speaking her truth. The media correspondent asked her for an alternate nickname to which she replied that my nickname at home is ‘Sherry’.

“Because my father first gave me the name Shaheera. When my sister was born two years later, he named her Noorulain and [renamed me Quratulain but Sherry stuck around. So, I’m Sherry with my family but I don’t like any of my friends calling me that because it’s a little personal”

The reason why Qurat-ul-Ain has a very small social circle in Pakistani media industry is none other than ‘betrayal and dubiousness of people’.

She Speaks For Herself!

“They’re something else to your face and something else behind your back. The entertainment business is very tricky. I didn’t know what the pros and cons were initially but now I’m more aware of it which is why now my social circle is mostly those people that don’t belong in this profession”

The singer also shared that she isn’t ready to become an ‘idol’.

“Being famous puts a lot of pressure and responsibilities on you. And I’m still not willing to take that responsibility. I don’t want to be an idol. I don’t want to be an ‘inspiration’ I actually don’t. I’m a mere human being. I’m also learning”, added Qurat-ul-Ain Baloch.

The outspoken female rockstar of Pakistan has told that she is busy in her own training these days and working on her own music.
